New Listing: 2006 Chaparral 330 Signature

2006 Chaparral 330 Signature
Tampa, FL

Chaparral's 330 Signature is one of the most thoughtfully designed mid-sized express cruisers available.  The separation of the aft berth from the other interior spaces is a nice feature that is rarely executed as well as it is on the 330.  The result is a much larger entertaining space than the conventional forward-berth layouts on other boats, that still has the option of being converted into sleeping space for five.

This vessel features upgraded options such as: MerCruiser power package with transferable extended warranty, bow thruster, flat screens in cabin (2), synthetic teak swim platform, Raymarine electronics with radar, and much more.

Upswing in International Sales

As the historically-slow months for brokerage sales arrive, we’ve seen an increase in business from international buyers which has kept sales figures relatively steady for the past few months. The strength of many foreign currencies and the arrival of spring in the Southern hemisphere have resulted in an increase in foreign clients looking to purchase boats for export from the United States.

International Sales
Sept. 2010 - Dec. 2010

Since September 1, we’ve seen nearly 70% of boats sold bound for other countries. Canada and Australia have been the two largest contributors, but we’ve also done business with clients from Russia, Germany, Sweden, Saudi Arabia, and the British Virgin Islands.

For many sellers, these are important considerations. As sales slow down in the US, that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s a bad time to put your boat on the market. It is important, however, that you choose a broker that caters to the needs of international clients and has the experience necessary to facilitate a smooth transaction for a buyer looking to ship a boat overseas.

SOLD: 2007 Fountain 38' CC

2007 Fountain 38' Center Console
Tampa Harbour Yacht Club, Tampa, FL

The first of a pair of 38' Fountains listed was sold this week, making it the fourth 34'+ Center Console we've moved in the last 60 days. For a market that has been reportedly "slow" across the board, it's nice to see people still showing interest in larger performance-fisherman like the 38' Fountain. The boat left Florida on Wednesday and was home to Alabama in time for Thanksgiving dinner.

2005 Fountain 38' Tournament Edition
Treasure Island, FL

Our remaining Fountain is this beautifully maintained 2005 Tournament Edition, also powered by triple 275hp Verados. The boat is kept in Treasure Island, FL and is nicely equipped as a "do it all" boat for fishing, diving, and cruising. The forward cuddy is a nice addition that makes the TE a more versatile option than the 38' Open.

SOLD: "Cocomar"

Cocomar, 2006 Cruisers 455 Express Motor Yacht
Tampa, FL

After having the boat listed for a little over two months, Cocomar was sold this week to a client who will be shipping her to Vladivostok, Russia.  It was refreshing to work with owners willing to take a realistic approach to selling their boat, an attitude that seems to be increasingly rare.  Prior to listing Cocomar, we went through the boat and made sure it was both mechanically and cosmetically sound, and the boat surveyed beautifully without a single issue being cited by the buyer's surveyor.

From here we will be arranging for the boat to be prepped for transport, trucked to California, and then shipped across the Pacific Ocean to Russia.

New Listing: "Sláinte"

Sláinte, 2000 Formula 27 Performance Cruiser
Crystal River, FL

It's not very often that you find a decade-old boat that the Florida salt and sun haven't taken their toll on, but Sláinte is a pleasant exception to the rule. I've always been impressed with Formula yachts, and the fantastic condition of this 27 Performance Cruiser is a testament to the quality of their products. The boat is moored in Crystal River, FL and is meticulously maintained by its owners. Their recreational interests have changed, so Sláinte is on the market and ready for her new owner.

New Listing: "South of the Border"

South of the Border, 2008 Cabo 35 Flybridge
Sarasota, FL

Cabo's 35 Flybridge is one of their best-selling models ever, and with good reason.  In 1991, the 35 Fly was the first model Cabo ever produced and over the last 19 years they've tweaked the design to develop one of the top sportfishing boats in its class.  Every single design element of this boat is geared towards the discerning fisherman, from the massive 130 square foot cockpit, to the neatly organized tackle drawers and bait stations.  Cabo doesn't compromise on quality or craftsmanship in the constructions of these boats, and it shows.

South of the Border is a professionally maintained 2008 Cabo that is truly perfect.  She features the upgraded 540hp Common Rail Cummins diesels, and is owned by experienced boaters that spared no expense in the mechanical or cosmetic maintenance of this boat.
